Like I told you in my review of Google Assassin I was gone give you my review of another keyword tool that I had bought into because I was recommended it by someone I really trust when it comes to product recommendations.

The Product I am talking about is called Traffic Travis and is a SEO software package that claims to “helps get your site back on the road to success”.

The sales page is full of pictures of site statistics and not a lot of sales material, he probably thinks that the evidences sells the product itself, but everybody know that “proof” like that don’t mean squat.. Besides that, you will get a complete description on what the software can do and some pictures of every part of it, so it is not like many other sales letters that don’t really tells what you will get, but rather selling you dreams and telling you how good it is and how rich you could be using the system, but you need to be a member to know what the system is..

OK enough rambling… let’s start the review.

What’s included?

You will receive the Traffic Travis software itself, and a complete training on how to use it, and it is actually done a pretty good job in getting you to understand every part of the software. You can watch video either online or download them or you can read a manual if you like that better.

There is also a couple other training manuals also included. One is aimed at Google adsense and is pretty informative if you are a beginner, if you know how adsense works and got normal understanding in internet marketing I guess you want find anything new here.

The other manual included is a guide to search engines which is a little better after my opinion, again here if you know the basics of SEO there is nothing that will blow your socks off, but it is a couple thing in it that you might not think about all the time and it is always nice to stir up on a old memories.

So what does the software consists of:

Keyword Finder

This tool utilizes the overture tool like so many other keyword selector tools, and by doing that you don’t end up with anything you cannot find for free, it shows only up till 100 keywords and includes how many times it has been searched for. You can whoever dig deeper on each keyword to find other variations, so in theory you can keep on forever without typing in a new keyword. One problem I have noticed is that sometimes it want produce results and it end up in an idle state which is very irritating.

This tool I give 3 out of 10 stars

Keyword Sorter

This is a nice but simple tool that sorts you keyword list. You just paste in all the keywords you have for a particular term and then choose how you want to sort them. You can have the alphabetically or you can type in a special word to get all keywords that include that word.

This tool gets 7 out of 10 stars

The search engine positions

This will find your position for each keyword you input, find pages of your site that is listed and spy on your competition by finding the top sites for keywords. You can search Google, MSN, Yahoo and Altavista. You can get up to 200 results and add as many keywords as you feel like. It will also show you the Google PR and Alexa ranking. You can also here keep track of your progress and an overview of your sites ranking over time.

Analyze Page

If you need to take a dive into your site and get some nice statistics this is a proper tool. It will analyze the address you input, but not do any deep analyzes into other sites. It will give you full meta information, all links internal or external and show their IP, anchor text and PR. It will find all your images and the alt text associated with it and it. At last it gives you all the words on the page, where it resides (alt,anchor,h1,h2 etc) and the percentage it appears on the site. This is a pretty simple but nice tool that is very good for taking a last look at your pages before you put them online, it can really help you keep track on the optimization of a page, this is definitely a tool a will be using in the future.

Backlinks to site

This will give you the backlinks of your site also showing title, anchor text, external and internal links, Google PR and Alexa. You can get as many results as you want, and enable fast search if you want. You also get a report with summary of the results. Although this tool works ok, it does not show nearly 1/10 of all the backlinks you really get to your site, I tried a sites I know got around 100 backlinks in the four search engines together, but the software only came up with around ten results, so not a very accurate tool.

Competition Ads

This will check the Google and Overture for competing ads, you’ll enter a website and the keywords you want to search and it will give you the sites that got ads related to those words. I think the thought about this tool is great but it does not live up to my expectations, if you do add more than one keyword at a time it gets very messy and hard to know where the ads really are, and you will need to click on each site to show which word it has competing ads for. It also looks to having problems from overture as I never got any results from the overture count when trying keywords like marketing, dogs, pets etc. I think a normal search using Google and overture can give you better and more accurate results.

Article Compare

A very simple tool, that does nothing else than comparing two articles against each other. Then it calculates the difference between them in percent. It is as simple as it gets, and you might want to know some more information when doing a comparison two articles against each other. So since there is a tool out there that is free and so much better I am sorry to only give the Article Compare tool 2 out 10 stars

Adwords Manager

This is the product that saves Traffic Travis from a total slaughter in my summary of the total product. First of all this product require you to use the Google API which again is not free, so there is another added cost to this. But I recon this is a tool only used when you first have your adwords accounts up and running successfully, and if you are a beginner I would not spend either money or time on this. But if you run more than one Google adwords account this could be a very nice tool to have all your campaigns in one place. There are also a couple added features here that you want find inside your normal adwords accounts.

I will give this tool 8 out 10 stars

Clickbank Stats DB

This tool I didn’t get to work and will have to come back with a review when I have tried some more.

Domain Whois Information

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, nothing more, and nothing less. This is also something that you can do online with every domain seller and a couple hundred other places also. Since it is such a simple tool I want even bother giving it any stars.

Survey Creator

Need a simple survey for your website then this tool is a solution. There is nothing fancy pansy here, but it is absolutely usable. It will create a PHP file that you need to upload to your server, the script is pretty simple so it is easy to integrate with you own sites. You can create as many questions you want, the answer possibilities are limited though, you have the open field response that adds a field where the user can type in their answer, and you have the multiple choice alternative, but you only got four choices to use. The results will be sent by email.

Keyword Ad Analysis

Another tool that will let you spy on you competition, I have tried it a lot without getting any decent results. It is working in a way that you will have to input a domain name to search and then a list of keywords to see if there are any ads that relates to that domain. When it finally finds some ads it will give you the rank, ad title, description and url.

This tool gets 4 out of 10 stars

So what is the conclusion of Traffic Travis from my point of view?

I was recommended this software from someone who never does it to make money, and it was an honest recommendation, but this time I feel it was not quite worth it. The product has a price of $99.95 which I think is a little steep, and I must say that the different functions don’t really live up to what I thought they would, you could say that they are a little too simple. But is there nothing positively about it and do I feel that I should use the 56 day money back guarantee…? NO I don’t feel that and I will keep the product, there are as I have described in my review earlier that there are a couple goodies I probably will keep using in the feature, or until I find something better.

So would recommend anyone buying it? Not at this time, wait and see if there will be any updates that will raise the quality a couple notches.

So my total score for the total package is 6 out 10 stars (that is a very weak 6 by the way)
