Mount Baldy hike (California) – this hike was part of a 2-week trip in the American Southwest (May-June 2018).
Mount Baldy, also known as Mount San Antonio, is the highest point in Los Angeles County, California.
⚠️A permit is required to hike in the Cucamonga Wilderness (we bought it from the Range Office for $5).
- highest elevation 10064 ft / 3068 m;
- distance ~12.5km / 8mi;
- the peak is flat, large, without trees;
- moderate difficulty;
- scenic and crowded trail during summertime;
- dog friendly (leashed);
- ski lift ride back down for saving time (via The Notch Restaurant; $15/ticket);
